SAP Consulting Manager for Financial Services

As an SAP Consulting Manager for Financial Services, you will play a key role in leading consulting projects and guiding teams in the delivery of SAP-based financial solutions for clients in the financial services industry. You will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that project objectives are met with high-quality standards and within defined timelines.

This role requires a strong hands-on background in SAP FICO, with proven experience in both implementation and support activities. The ideal candidate combines deep functional expertise in Finance and Controlling with the ability to provide strategic direction and leadership to consulting teams.

You will also be expected to drive continuous improvement, contribute to knowledge sharing, and support the growth and maturity of DYCSI’s Financial Services practice, ensuring our solutions align with industry’s best practices and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end SAP consulting projects within the Financial Services Industry (FSI), ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client business and technical requirements.
• Provide functional and strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives, delivery timelines, and DYCSI’s quality standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building strong, trust-based relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout all project phases.
• Plan, monitor, and control project scope, schedules, and budgets, proactively managing risks and ensuring the achievement of milestones and deliverables.
• Mentor and develop team members, offering technical guidance, performance feedback, and coaching to support their professional growth and engagement.
• Promote process improvement and standardization, contributing to the continuous development of methodologies, tools, and best practices within DYCSI’s Financial Services consulting area.
• Encourage innovation, accountability, and proactive problem-solving to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Oversee team capacity and resource management (FTE allocation, workload balancing, and coverage planning) to ensure effective service delivery.
• Review and approve project-related administrative items, such as timesheets, vacations, absences, and overtime, coordinating resources to guarantee business continuity.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (delivery, operations, and HR) to align talent management, training needs, and service excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of dedicated professional experience in SAP consulting, specifically serving the Financial Services Industry (FSI) (e.g., Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets).
• At least 3 years of proven experience in a leadership or management position (e.g., Team Lead or Consulting Manager) supervising consultants or developers in multi-module environments.
• Strong expertise in SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling modules) including implementation, configuration, and post-go-live support.
• Solid understanding of integration points between FI/CO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, TRM, FS).
• Experience with SAP Activate, ASAP, or Agile methodologies for project delivery.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling), including configuration, integration, and end-to-end implementation.
• Deep understanding of core financial processes such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Cost Accounting (CO).
• Experience integrating FICO with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, TRM, or Banking).
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance environment, including migration or optimization projects.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, ASAP, or Agile methodologies for implementation and delivery.
• Ability to design and review functional specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
